Wankel engine variants
Rotors with three to six apexes compared, each with the matching gear ratio. The trajectories of the rotor apexes form the housing contour.
A Wankel engine with a triangular rotor: ASOMv10 simulates the motion and shows the matching housing contour.

The pinion on the housing and the internal gearing of the triangular rotor must maintain a constant ratio of 2 : 3. Nevertheless, it should be possible to change the eccentricity, the rotor size and the curvature of the flanks freely. The matching housing contour should result from the motion – exact or with an offset for an apex seal.
You change the eccentricity and rotor shape directly on the model; ASOMv10 keeps the system consistent and immediately shows the matching housing contour.
The system stays consistent with every change. More on constraints
A different rotor shape is set up quickly, and you see the matching contour immediately.
You set up other motion sequences in the drive control by switching connections. More on motion sequences

At 6,000 rpm, inertia matters. ASOMv10 calculates the joint and bearing forces with connecting rod, counterweight and piston.

A six-bar linkage guides a door, with the joints arranged symmetrically. The synthesis is built from constraints alone, and the start and end positions remain adjustable.
Describe your mechanism to us. In an online demo, we will show you ASOMv10 using your example.
