In this example we first guarantee the correct movements of the two-part folding roof and the storage compartment lid through two syntheses for two separate mechanisms. After that, we examine the forces in the folding roof system in more detail. We observe the necessary manual forces for opening and closing with and without the presence of a supporting pressure spring. The spring is then designed appropriately, first manually and after that with the help of a force synthesis. Two separate mechanisms are used here together to achieve the desired movement. The kinematic animation is controlled with a simple motion control system.
